Umm hello...

Would anyone be willing to explain the policy on horses and tack loss. I read a little bit about it here but am still fuzzy. I'm far from wealthy and has taken me some time to get leather armor for my horse. I am only missing the most expensive piece. Now the thing is I have alreadly lost gear to a reset when a message was sent game wide and I didn't know that the gear would be lost. Now a couple of days ago there was a crash. I'm pretty certain that had I had my horse out and not stabled I'm pretty sure I would of lost all of his gear including the armor. All I can say is if this happens my horse will be stabled for a very long time if not permanetly. I am a paladin and also am in a cavalry unit, but I can't see having to replace the gear every time a crash occurs. Since I lost my gear once I remove my horses gear every time I willing and knowingly leave the lands. Having to stable my horse ever single time I leave the land in my mind isn't really worth owning one. Could someone please explain policy on horse gear and its replacement due to crashes?

Thank you...

Umm, sorry but wanted to add something since my last post. I found out that in my day gone from DR there was another crash. Now since I had no way of returning to lands in that day my horse was left outside. Thankfully I had removed my gear from him prior. But quite frankly, my horse hasn't returned after quite some time and I believe he probably ended up in the stables. At this point does anyone else share my opinion that keeping a horse out is not quite worth the expense incurred because of said situation stated above? I can't really see a point in it. Just wondering if there is a fix for this situation so that I won't loose all the gear I spent so much on? If not, he'll stay stabled till there is one I suppose. Tis just a shame I think.

Thank you.

Which cavalry unit are you in? if you are a Black Pearl I'll help ya replace some of the tack.

I ALWAYS stable my horse after use. Of course I prefer riding bareback and only losing a bridle in case of a crash. Stabling isn't that expensive. I think the most I have ever paid was 4.5 gold for a few months of Real life stabling. That's less then vault fees. I always get scared whenever I put barding or my altered saddle on a horse. Most of the time your tack won't be replaced. It's a major fault of the horse system...and major bad for the customers.

If you need bareback training see a Ranger of around 20 circles. It's about a 20 - 30 minute class for you and another for the horse.

Again, if you're BPL I can do that for ya to.

Hello,

Many thanks for your response Theodoric. Umm, yes I'm in the BPL. I appreciate the answer. I always, to the best of my ability, remove my horse's tack before I leave the lands. Only leave a bridal on him because I have to. But that typically isn't the problem. In the instance of a sudden crash I would lose all of the tack and the horse would return to the stable. Also in the event that if I'm not in the lands and there was a said crash he would also loose his gear. As I said I always remove his tack before I voluntarily leave the lands. I learned that one the hard way also. But quite frankly I don't even feel like risking putting gear on him in the case of an unsuspected banishment, i.e. crash. This last time I was fortunate and only lost a bridle. Now I did go to the stable and had him returned because I felt bad and was concerned he was wondering around. He was brought out of the stable but then I couldn't re-stable him because I didn't have a bridle on him and I couldn't put a lead rope on him either. Had to get a gm, one came thankfully and they let me borrow a bridle. I know I'm cheap but I figured he won't be coming out of there for quite some time. It doesn't appear to make sense to me at least to get him out of the stable. Sorry just a little frustrated with the whole situation. I didn't know these problems existed because I never owned a horse before.

Regarding bareback riding, I don't know if I can learn that? I'm only circle 20 but I will try if I'm able. Again thanks for the help.
