First of all....

Are origami masks and crowns wearable?

How hard are they to make?

Suggestion 1 Origami fans

Suggestion 2 Paper that has pretty patterns like 'some rose-patterned paper'

Suggestion 3 The style of the finished origami shows the skill of the folder

A dainty origami fan folded from rose-patterned paper

also....is there any plans for an origami alterer?

>>Are origami masks and crowns wearable?

Yes. But they don't have all the verbs associated with many of the patterns.

>>How hard are they to make?

Difficulty for patterns vary from item to item. There are some very nice calculators and formulas out there to help you along. Imperfect (where would the fun be in perfect?)-- but very useful.

>>Suggestion 1 Origami fans

Nice suggestion! I like that one; I =think= it's one made before and on the list of patterns, but I don't remember off the top of my head. If it isn't, I'll add it.

>>Suggestion 2 Paper that has pretty patterns like 'some rose-patterned paper'

Because of how the paper set-up works for article, adjective, noun there are too many characters. It's something I'd love to do, and you see an attemped with the "some stipled origami paper" and "some striped origami paper" and suchlike. No doubt DR2 will be flexible enough that we can be more creative.

>>Suggestion 3 The style of the finished origami shows the skill of the folder

::grins:: Would be giving away entirely too much. People familiar with the system know what >>tec<< any given pattern is. That's enough of a clue for folks right there.

>>also....is there any plans for an origami alterer?

I'm not sure what you want to alter. However, the short answer is that no, origami items should not be altered (for a variety of reasons).

On the "pads" I gotta ask... is the stuff going to be any lighter? I mean... I know individual weight of an item can't go below 1 stone in DR (Can it outside of coins?) but still 100 sheets of origami = 100 stones = 10 pounds right? Last I checked IRL (I admit our paper is better now then it would be in DR, but it can't be too much worse or we couldn't use it for the nice folds) a 100 sheet pack of origami paper is no where near 10 pounds.

I mean logic sorta breaks, but it'd make sense to me at least if a "pad" was like 1 stone for a 10 pack, 3 for a 25, 5 for a 50, and 10 for a 100 and just as you removed a sheet the single sheet was set to a stone if it can't be less. Sure you can "Create weight" that way but there really isn't much reason to remove more then 1 sheet at a time... and I can think of several systems off the top of my head (Gweth enchanting comes to mind) where weights change illogically just because that's how the items work (not that I don't think the case of gweth enchanting is buggy... adding a sigil shouldn't make something heavier... but of course adding stones shouldn't make it lighter... anyhow totally off topic so I'll stop there.). Any chance of this? Otherwise even though pads will keep me better organized I'm going to still be making as many trips since right no my standard load of paper weighs more then my chain shirt... and I'm a frail elothean.
