Does anyone know why the leth origami tent is closed? Or more importantly when it will be open again? There's a sign outside the tent that says it's closed for renovations. I sure hope it's not closed long, this isn't very fair, you don't see combat or survival skills being turned off so no one can learn them.

Well cant traders ship things from one outpost to another?
Seems like a good time and cause for like a Aesry trader to be shipping Origami from Aesry to somewere else for others to use and raking in some profit.
No I do not know ins and outs of the system but I read post on it some when it was released. I thought it was to be like UPS in away and ship others things across lands as a service or form of trading. Beats me cause I never did it but seems this is a good time for some to look into it.
Also what if Traders had the comodity of Origami paper added to the Commodity pit? It could be traded Im sure. Wood was added for your gates you work on SGM Meriel and you do Origami and gates it seems.
Let the Traders buy crates of paper for there use or further sale to others or trade in commodity pits. seems if they can pull off a crate of wood to build a gate pretty much same code could be adapted to pulling off a crate and get paper out of.

If I had a way to get to Merkresh where there is an origami shop and a shipping office I could ship back several thousand sheets a day, but there is no way out there.

even with all that available I dont see how it could help. Both Ratha and Aesry have origami shops. why would we need to move paper between the two?

Re: Leth Origami Tent on 04/21/2004 03:26 PM CDT
The Skirr is still running from Crossing to Ratha. Ratha has an origami shop on the third tier. Haven't been in game to check if it was open since the Leth tent closed though.
Also, the Selhin is running between Ratha and Aesry, as well as the Tasia to Hara'jaal last I checked. Not much for me on Hara, so I haven't been paying close attention to that one. If you're transfering the paper yourself (not using a caravan), there's usually a moon mage or three with gates between Ratha and Aesry, if asked or prodded nicely.

[Leth Deriel, Cambium Circle]
This area is slightly marshy, with broad banyan trees sending off shoots into the spongy, black ground. Bunches of thin stalked, green fringed papyrus plants grow along the margins of a deep artificial pool here. Dry clumps of stubble indicate these plants have been cultivated and harvested from time to time. A shed, constructed of oiled paper stretched over branches lashed crosswise, stands to one side. You also see a tasteful blue silk tent and a large sign.
Obvious paths: southeast, northwest.
>go tent
BONK! You smash your nose.
>read sign
A large sign reads:
Ershem's Closed for Renovations!

It just makes me wonder why the reason behind the closing of the tent is not more plain. Is anyone really having fun not knowing this trivial information?

Oh good lord, shut up about the envelopes people. They'll come when they come, until then, keep doin what you've been doing for months and be happy they're coding them up for you at all.

No, I'm not sorry.
We've been asking for an update on the envelopes for months. I don't think a GM response is too much to ask for at this point. And I don't really care what your opinion is, Teeklin.

You have stealth to argue in Teeklin.
I want to be cynical about envelopes.
Besides, we found one person who won't mind getting them after the Lore split. S'far it's all for Gossford that they are coding them.

<<I'm sorry, but I stopped counting at thirty damn posts about envelopes.>>
If all the posts about envelopes are bothering you, feel free not to read this folder.
<<You've lasted this long, the GMs have heard your requests and have gone as far as to code up one of them.>>
Exactly the point. They have been coded up for a while. Were not demanding them to be released today, or asking for heads to roll. All we would like is a simple update as to where they stand right now. If they are waiting for the mech split, then so be it. I for one am sick of running to leth once every week to max out my characters item count and risk corruption. As far as we know, they have been done for a significant amount of time, and we just want to know what the hold up is. There would not be all these posts that you are so upset about if a GM could take a minute out of his/her busy schedule and say "Hang in there guys, it's going through QC as we speak and will be released as soon as they are done with it" or "We decided it was in the best interest of the game to wait for DR2 before releasing them" or whatever else the reason could be.
<<We've been asking for an update on the envelopes for months. I don't think a GM response is too much to ask for at this point. And I don't really care what your opinion is, Teeklin.>>

>>If all the posts about envelopes are bothering you, feel free not to read this folder
As someone who uses origami, I read this folder to hear GM responses about these things. Unfortunately, I have to wade through about 10 posts a week asking for the envelopes that we already know are coming.
It's like me posting three times a day in general discussions asking when DR2 will be out, and telling people not to read there if my posts bother them.
>>All we would like is a simple update as to where they stand right now.
And I would like a pony. But it certainly isn't the GMs job to give me a pony any more than it's their job to placate you with a post telling you that they aren't out yet. Grow up, people.
