Perhaps, when the spirit changes go in and depart times become much shorter, our beards can remain after departing? It takes over a week to regrow proper facial hair...only empaths and traders will be able to wear beards. <g>

From what I understand..because of the entire system that beards are based on (that they grow and change and are removable) is why they leave when you depart.
I'm pretty sure its been said it would be extremely difficult to change.
This is the same reason that your hair doesn't grow naturally..simply because..if it did..it would be on the same system whereby if you departed..you lost it. I think there are enough people running around that wouldn't have to go bald when they had to depart.
There is that shop is Leth tho'..if you want to change your hair's length or color. (You probably know this already, Mazrian, I'm just making sure.)

The reason they are different..is because they grow and change and you can cut them and stuff.
Now...if they were to be like tattoos...they'd have a one time only beard setting that you'd have to choose from..and you'd have to go to a Barber Shop and pay exorbitant fees to change it.
A novel idea...but I like being able to change it on my own. That's part of what makes it unique.

I'd actuallty like to not have a beard at all and have used the unguent to remove it. Unfortunately the effects are cancelled when you depart.I understood that it is possible to make in permenant by applying two potions, but when I departed the effect of the potion was cancelled. Is there some other way make this effect permenant?
