So I was getting some more favors today after dying in a real cool way and I thought, man, Inauri is such a weirdly pious individual, but it would be neat if we had more religion titles!
What do you all think about titles related to the god you have consecutive favors with? IE: Inauri has 50 favors with Ushnish, giving her the title options of:
Saved, Believer, Favored, Pious, Devout, Neophyte, Follower, Adherent, Devotee, Fanatic, Discordant, Famine, Diseased, Lava Dancer, Earthquake
Or someone with a large number of consecutive favors with Eluned may have:
[the usual options], Wise, Wave Singer, Siren, Trident
I figure, if consecutive favors can be tracked right now in order to award Religion titles, why not which god in order to assign god specific titles?

I like this idea.
There are already mechanics in place to recognize how many consecutive favors you have from a god, so it shouldn't be too hard to code titles.

Conversely, how come we don't have opposing titles, like titles for NO favors?
This would be neat for say Kaldar that worship Gorbesh gods or I suppose necromancers.
Something like:
Heretic, Unsaved, Forgotten, Left Behind (lol), Heretic (I think this is a Cleric title already?), Cynic, Skeptic, Dissenter, Schismatist

I already got the Skeptic title, but I suppose I could share it. Not that i'd have any say in it or anything heh, and it wouldn't be the first time one of my custom titles ended up as a title for anyone to use, heh.
I like all the suggestions though.

there are lava-related titles for clerics that worship ushnish. So both clerics <who meet the eligibility reqs - worship ushnish, have certain spell, etc> and thieves who use clerical titles can get the title
heretic is also a paladin title, not a clerical title.
advertising that one is favorless is not the best idea for a necromancer, unless they're big enough for it not to matter.
But more titles that are god-related would be a good idea.

Eh, it matters.
If favorless titles imply being against the gods, then yes it is pretty much a big "probably a Necromancer" beacon.
But, if favorless titles imply being absent from the gods, then while people will probably on a meta-level go and expect only Necromancers to be favorless, if looked at through an IC lens it just means they're the like vast majority of citizenry, who are generally outside the acknowledgement of the Immortals.

Whoa, calm down. Being favorless != Necromancer 100%. Did you miss the part where I mentioned Kaldar and their Gorbesh gods that do NOT grant favors? :)
There are other IC reasons for a character to be favorless, also.

You caught me! I didn't look up every title suggestion I posted. I wrote down synonyms and hit post! I thought it would be neat for other characters to have god-related titles if they happen to be pious enough to put in the work to get large amounts of favors. I still think it would be neat. :)
