From Soim's Appraisals...
ASAREN CELPEZE:
(75th Lev) * NOV 23th, 2003
There offensive versus me +1 is a solid opponent.
There defensive versus me +1 is a difficult opponent.
TELGA MORADU:
(63nd Lev) * NOV 23rd 2003
There offensive versus me -1 is a slightly less skilled opponent.
There defensive versus me +3 is a quite difficult opponent.

How well you learn evasion is based on their offense. How well you learn weapon skills (including MO and Parry) is based on their defense.
What is TM learning based on? I would imagine it to be based on the creature's defense. However, Celzpeze cap higher for TM than moradu. Basically, you have a creature with more defense teaching less TM.

Although looking at the critter's defenses is a good way of judging how well they should teach TM, it comes down to how much damage the critter can take before dying. I have never fought those critters before, but I am willing to bet Celzpeze (75th level) have a lot more stamina than moradu (63rd level).

You might also take into consideration that moradu have a weapon to parry with (I think?) and when you appraise them for difficulty it takes their parry skill into account. However, since TM bypasses parry, you don't learn anything from their extra parry skill as compared to a weapon that they are able to parry. So while the moradu appraise harder defensively for melee weapons, for TM they may actually be easier. Same goes for ranged weapons, I believe.

Perhaps if we tingle both tested critters so neither shield nor parry is taken into account we could better get an understanding of how well they teach? ::tingle and then appraise:: Does bypassing a shield with your TM skill add to the exp? Certainly might help our ability to hunt if we knew the determining factor (other than vitality damage done) concerning the ability to learn off a critter.
