I've looked and looked and thought it'd be easier to ask... Do you gain TDPs post 150th rank? In 2014 the plan was to not grant TDPs or Defensive Points. TIA

You do not. No TDPs, and stance points are skill based these days (modified by skillset placement).

I'm not 100% clear here. So do people stay at circle 149 or 150 so that they gain TDPs moving forward? Did I misunderstand what you mean by "You do not."? Your TDP pool does fill up as you gain ranks in skills.

No TDPs from circling. You still get TDPs from skills.

If they were to reverse this decision I'm sure they would grandfather the TDPs of people who circled past 150th. There's no reason not to go ahead and circle past 150th, but there's also not a lot of reason to do it either.

Grandfathering is a reason to keep circling, especially for guilds like Paladins which haven't released their guild skill yet.

When Expertise was released, I hadn't circled in a long time due to lack of access to a guild leader. It took 10 circles worth of back training to be able to circle again due to expertise.

Ok, if you are any guild but Paladin or Trader then there isn't much reason to circle past 150th.

Bardic lore will 'probably' be grandfathered whenever a system is put in to train it reasonably and/or use it, since the current one is kinda blah.

Bards too, since they'll probably get Bardic Lore grandfathered when a req is instituted. Maybe that won't matter, though; my bard has BL far in excess of any circle req, but I don't know how universal that is.

Also, Thump runs off circle.

Lol thump. It's always funny to destroy someone who thumps you. Circle doesn't mean crap. I make more tdps training regularly than I ever could circling.

If you want to bet on DR remaining static and no skills being introduced, go for it.

When they allowed circling to 200 they implicitly said don't expect development for this its just a number.

That is sad though. So 'end game' ends at circle 150 at least when it comes to advancing in the guild.

It might be nice to have super high level quests that are only available at 160,170,180,190,200. Maybe a group quest where you have to slay a huge creature for a few pieces of unique crafting material...and you can only complete the quest once.

Just throwing ideas out there. It seems like there should be something to look forward to after circle 150 that is directly linked circling.
