Are you casting near cap? IIRC, they train sorcery like non-combat spells so if you're casting the spells in combat (e.g. SET or TV) it doesn't train based on creature skill like with normal debilitation spells.

I am casting tezirah's veil at cap against Moths and I never learn any sorcery.

My guess is you're above the teaching cap for that spell, what's your sorcery?

just odd that i could train other skills to 1750 there, but not use tezirah's veil to train sorcery

My understanding of using tm/debilitation to train sorcery, doesn't train like tm/debilitation. It only matters the difficulty of the spell.

Sorcery = Primary Magic when training. It's not a Debilitation/TM analog.
