When will the SpellBook Merchant return ? on 03/04/2003 05:16 PM CST
Re: When will the SpellBook Merchant return ? on 03/04/2003 06:13 PM CST
When Skral gets free time I'd assume. I'd say he's still working on resurrection. He's got cleric guild requirements also to think about. The rest of the spirit changes he was talking about. Spells for clerics that are still in the works. So I'm sure if he finds time somewhere in there spellbook merchant will return, if not it will be after all that.

Spellbooks are special.
If shop opened too often
They get too common.

I am quite unskilled
in the writing of haiku
but I will now try.
Will someone please say
the benefits of owning
a costly spellbook.
I save my kronars
from my boxes, tips, and gems.
I want to buy one.
I'd like to have one
for both empath and cleric,
Yet I lack the funds.
What will they teach me?
How do I care for the book?
Am I wasting time?
If merchant returns,
Will it have the same options?
Or have more, or less?
If merchant returns,
Will it be in the same place
or different locale?
Please don't make me die
In my quest for a spellbook
I just want to learn.
Do spellbooks contain
ALL the spells available
for a guild to learn?
If mine gets damaged,
Is there a way to fix it?
Or is it just ruined?
I am just about
out of creativity
for writing haiku.
Why spend so much time
In writing haiku? I am
incredibly bored.
I hope you've enjoyed
reading my boredom queller
I liked writing it.

>>Will someone please say the benefits of owning a costly spellbook.
For the custom spellbooks, you can use them to learn Scholarship.
>>What will they teach me?
Scholarship.
>>How do I care for the book?
Keep it in your spellbook case, available from the same merchant. Buy the case first. And don't take it out in wet weather, it doesn't like water. Also, don't kick or throw it, and don't let a Barbarian chew on it.
>>If merchant returns, Will it have the same options? Or have more, or less?
Almost certainly the same options. If you get there quick enough, there might be notepads available, but they are a limited spellbook item, and usually run out quickly.
>>If merchant returns, Will it be in the same place or different locale?
Ummm, yes. Where the merchant appears is up to the GM running it. Thios one is run by Skralthaen (sp?), who is also in charge of Clerical spells.
>>Do spellbooks contain ALL the spells available for a guild to learn?
Custom spellbooks contain the full list of spells available for the guild it is purchased for. They are setup so that any new spells for that guild are also automatically added to the spellbook when the spell is released.
>>If mine gets damaged, Is there a way to fix it? Or is it just ruined?
The merchant who sells them can also repair them. But he is not available that often at this time, so...

Yay, thanks Kynevon. That's what I thought fer all the answers, but nice ta know. It took me for ever to write that silly post, and I then went to the general boards and wrote 15 more verses. I'm a glutton for punishment. No, I was really bored. I hope it is in the same place.. I rather liked the way it was put together, the way to pick all the options for it. I hope that stays the same. Anyway, thanks fer the info there.
