Hiya,

I'm hoping that someone can help me out here. I had two extra spellbook locks in my vault, so I going to sell 'em off. I had a potential buyer try to put one on his (custom) spellbook, but he received the following message:

> "A strange force emanating from the spellbook prevents me from doing it."

Now, I have put these locks on MY spellbook before, but they aren't bloodlocks or anything. Just plain ol' locks: a pale silver spellbook lock, and the ornate gold one. Anyone have experience with this? Or perhaps Skral, if you have a chance, could you throw in an answer?

Just wondering if I've ruined these by using them, or if there could have been another factor that I'm not aware of.

Thanks!

From a post a few days ago, I think this means that the locks bonded to you when you put them on your spell books, and won't be usable by anyone else.

That's secondhand information, but this exact message was posted on not too awfully long ago and I think that's what it means.

Thanks, Nutawa. I didn't bother to re-read some of the old posts in this folder. I'll scan back some and see what I can find.

I sold the pale silver lock I had on my spellbook, the buyer didn't have a problem with it.

Was the spellbook an original purchase, or bought from someone else?

Kyrrian,

I'm just about to go and ask. Heard someone on the gweth say that only the original owner can add new things.

Thanks.
