Is he gone for now? I was hoping to pick up a few more things from him.

He seems to be, which is weird, cause Skral promised notice before the merchant took off. Perhaps he's just away for a day, restocking. Which i hope is the case, since we were tolded we'd be informed before he left.

Anyone know if the spellbook merchant is planning on making an appearance during HSN? I seem to recall the GM in charge of it saying it would be more than a one time thing.

Over on the GM announcements board (where the thread is now closed), there was this:

The spellbook merchant, along with all the other merchants that anyone missed will be back.

Soon.

Solomon

Please define 'soon'.

While I realize that it is in no way Simu's 'fault' or 'responsibility' that I chose to honor real life commitments and sleep that night in order to be able to do so, I missed out on the merchant. I would love to know if 'soon' means weeks, months, or years. I probably didn't have enough coin to buy the spellbooks I would have liked to get yesterday if I had been around while the merchant was open...but I wasn't, so I don't know. I would simply like to know how long I have to save up coin before the merchant returns.

Well to be honest and all Id count on a few months at minimum. A year at max. Im sure theyll find some reason to throw a mini fest or an event thatll have reason for him to reshow. But I wouldnt expect it within weeks by any measure. Heh best to just do what I did after i missed him the first go around.... start saving and saving. That way when he does come back youll have more than enough to get EXACTLY what you want.

Related definition...

SOON. (Acronym): [Simu.] Sometime, Or Otherwise, Never.

:D

Still, I'm glad to see the spellbook merchant is working again. If I ever decide to train my cleric I might grab one next time the merchant comes around.

Gang,

This thread is closed.

If you have questions on how spellbooks work, or have suggestions on things to add to spellbooks this is the correct folder.
