I want to make you all aware of a design change within the Ranger Guild. In the future Animal Lore will be used for other things, as well as being able to learn it from sources other than a companion. I believe that Animal Lore is one of our most underdeveloped skills we have. With this is mind you should be know that having Animal Lore ranks will help you do certain things down the road. If you choose not to work a companion, that is still fine. However, I am giving you this heads up because it is change in the previously stated policy of this Guild.

Animal Lore will not be part of your circling requirements nor will getting a companion. However, Animal Lore may be required to do certain other things. The only way to learn Animal Lore at this time is through companions and there are some of you who have no interest in Companions at all, this is a choice you will have to make. I know for some of you this might be hard to swallow, but I wanted you all to know that if the opportunity ever arose to expand Animal Lore, I am going to do it. I feel very strongly that Animal Lore can and should be more useful in the Ranger's repertoire.
