Assistant Game Designer Positions Open: Quest and Event Development Team

Do you enjoy creative writing, designing puzzles, developing story lines or perhaps writing the code for the mechanics of a Quest or Event? Are you mature, detail oriented and able to meet deadlines?

If you answered YES to any of these questions, now is a good time
for you to submit an application to join our Quest and Event Development Team as an AGD (Assistant Game Designer - the Product Development equivalent of AGMs).

The Quest and Event Development Team is a new and exciting group devoted exclusively to making Simutronics' quests and events the best on the market.

We are looking to recruit a talented and creative staff for this team --storyline developers, area designers, puzzle designers and the people to write the code for the mechanics. Candidates must be able to function well on a team and have strong descriptive writing skills as well as accurate spelling and grammar. Knowledge and an interest in Elanthian history would also be helpful.

If this interests you, please fill out the GM application found on the
Simutronics Website (from the main page, go to "Files," then "DragonRealms File Libraries," then "Simutronics Official Files").

** In addition to the application itself, please submit the following
writing sample**

Choose TWO of the following categories. For each of your two choices, design areas consisting of a minimum of five rooms. Include descriptions of all furnishings, objects and items of interest in each room and format your sample as though you were seeing it in the game.

Categories:
- a five-room home for your main character
- some atmospheric messaging (like those screams coming from the RH
hospital
or the chimes in Shard) for your favorite room. Show us the room and write 10-15 messages, or you can write...
- a portion of a new hunting area, or
- an expansion of an existing guildhall, or
- a portion of a new festival fairground, or
- a creature (physical description, special skills included), or
- an NPC (describe personality, physical attributes, movement messaging, and dialogue or reactions to various player verbs), or
- a detailed puzzle or
- a quest scenario

Submit your completed application and writing sample to:
DRAPPS@simutronics.com. In the Subject Heading, please include the words "QUEST DESIGN."

Thank you for your interest in joining the DragonRealms Quest and Event Development Team.
