When Unspeik opened he only worked on metal items. A later change in the armor/weapon classes of items bypassed a trap and allowed all the metal only shops to start repairing leather items. This of course was a bug, but it was a "good bug" if you will. We didn't have the time at the moment to put in more leather repair shops...leaving the bug as it was allowed people to get their leather items repaired.

This bug had to be fixed because it was being abused in a way we didn't realize. So now they don't repair leather any more. I am aware there is a need for more leather repair shops and when we get back from SimuCon we will put them in. You have my word on it.
