There isn't one yet.

That's the short of it.

Riel and I presently are searching for one, and we have a couple of candidates look very promising. Nonetheless, the more candidates we have to choose from, the better the odds of our finding the perfect liaison for this guild. You guys are not going to settle for less; Brandewynne is still a tough act to follow. :D So, if you have ever seriously considered becoming a GM, now is your chance! What we are looking for in a liaison for you are the following, not necessarily in order of decreasing importance:

1) Will this player make a good GM to begin with? Is s/he going to be dedicated to GMing for the long haul; is s/he ready to stop playing?

2) Is s/he passionate about Warrior Mages and interacting with them? Having a Warrior Mage as a primary character is big plus points in your favor, though it's far from being a requirement.

3) Is s/he comfortable with being communicative on the message boards? You guys have demonstrated <coughs> that you won't settle for the occassional poster. It's also far easier to get someone who already enjoys posting as a player to actively do so as a GM than it is to get a non-posting player posting.

Please follow the directions at the bottom of the application, located in the DragonRealms File Library on the main webpage, when turning it in, with the following additions/amendments:

1) Title your email "Warrior Mage Liaison Application - ", followed by your real name. The header would look something like this:

Warrior Mage Liaison Application - John Doe

This enables us to locate and prioritize your application. :)

2) After the Comments section, please provide a 2-3 page event outline detailing an event with a Warrior Mage guild focus. If you choose to do a long-term event, we don't expect minor details. If it's short-term (run in about two hours in one evening), we do. As an alternative, you may also decide to include a Warrior Mage guild-oriented alterer /merchant. Create a history for such a merchant - background, temperment, any odd habits...and then design a one room tent with the wares he or she sells. These items do not have to be "verbed", but they can be. Do at least five items, but no more than fifteen. Quality counts more than quantity.

A few final words of advice for those of you filling out the application - please, please, please fill out EVERYTHING. If there's a place for you to write commentary, fill it up with information. There is no such thing as giving us too much! In reviewing an application, my eyes go down to the Comments area first to assess whether or not a candidate is someone we want to hire, not the multiple choice section. As this is a CE position, we aren't concerned with your ability to code, though if you can it is a boon. We are chiefly looking at your communication/customer service skills and your creative talents.

Respectfully,

Nionon Altarf,

Customer Experience Hiring and Training Team
