Can the future arena be built within city limits? :)

Was a joke, sorry. Joke was based on an arena discussion in another section of the boards.
Basically, there's already a very awesome arena in Steelclaw Clan. It just goes unused, because for whatever reason people don't want to take 20-30 minutes to travel to it from the Crossing when organizing a giant tournament. This baffles me only because people will travel for an hour or two from the islands to the Crossing for a tournament.

Probably because the SCC arena has plenty of issues like using up a charge on items because they are automatically removed, forcing everyone to use stock weapons, having crappy armor and stock weapon choices which quite a few people don't find attractive and here we are discussing arena stuff.

I have travelled from riss, ratha, etc. and just about anywhere else for a tourney in the cemetary in crossings. Because no one organizes a tourney in SCC. Because I needed to head to crossins for any of numerous reasons and a tourney is a good extra excuse to justify the travel. Because if Im not actively in a tourney I try to find pit spars but I cant get folks into the pit fer nothin (Grungy will go in the pit but so far I havnt lasted past the first hit). There are support people around when near crossings (empaths and clerics). There is a greater chance of catching people that just happen to be in town, thus more people involved.

I will get you a few points in the pit Sledhed, I owe you for our game of curses at the con this year. If Major ever goes in the pit I figure I owe him too. Haha, anyways, good suggestions, I dig the "making the winner defend his title" bit. Thats good stuff.
