Hi all,

Some changes have been made concerning how creatures and combat handle things like instrument playing, AoE effects like Innocence, etc. These things are live in DR Test right now.

If you have some time, please log into DR Test and post any bugs or oddities you find in this thread. Things we really need to hear about are your spells or something NOT working. Please provide details such as what you were hunting, what ability you used, etc.

Keep in mind, the last DRTest refresh was months back and there may be newer things that do function the same as they do in Prime/Plat/TF. We'll try to get those things rolled in if they're hindering testing, so please post information on them if you need it.

Thanks!

I'm so awesome at testing, I've already broken it.

Ha.

Monster Elec

You hear the distant echo of a savage Horde snarling in barbaric disapproval of your deeds.

I found a slightly quirky behavior that may or may not be a real "bug". If I have four undead creatures engaged with me (in this case, Misenseor resuscitants) and I Manipulate a fifth one, it starts to engage so that I have five of them. But then everything that's behind me retreats until one of them leaves the room. The ones facing and flanking me didn't retreat, only the three behind me. So apparently that's what happens when you break the engagement cap :P

Also, Manipulate broke like crazy. My Friendly creature kept engaging me instead of the other creatures. It would periodically disengage when some sort of pulse took place, with the message "An arthelun cabalist falters, and suddenly ceases to advance upon you." Even when I had Innocence keeping them all from engaging me, the Manipulated one wouldn't engage the others.

Thanks,

Interesting. Thank you!

So far, the feedback we found in testing.. either some of the changes were not fully rolled in, or they're not at all ready to go live. We'll check it out.

Do you have logs? I need to know more about what spells were active, etc.

If not, can you email a log to my play.net address?

A juvenile wyvern falters, but refuses to turn away.
The juvenile wyvern begins to advance on you!
The juvenile wyvern is still a distance away from you and is closing steadily.

What I am seeing is that the engagement checks are being made but the creature is resisting the spell.

It also looks like creatures won't elect to engage a summoned creature. I stumbled upon a bunch of elpalzi by Stone Clan, and they wouldn't engage my guardian spirit even if I was at the engagement limit or was impossible to engage due to Innocence. The one that my warrior engaged did end up facing the warrior, but that was it.
