A javelin is a heavy thrown and pike melee-ranged weapon.
You are certain that it could do:
fair puncture damage
poor slice damage
low impact damage
You are certain that the javelin is reasonably balanced and is fairly suited to gaining extra attack power from your strength.
You are certain that the javelin is somewhat flimsy, and is in pristine condition.
35 stones

I think I'm going to go the route of buying a short silver spear (pike) and get a throwing hammer or something. The short silver spear is from a fest I think and it had really good construction. I hate to carry 2 more weapons but until they come out with a good pike/ht spear that won't break when a critter looks at it, oh well I guess.
