The following weapons sold at Milgrym's don't fit in any container sold in Zoluren (AFAIK):
- stalwart ironwood quarterstaff
- steel-banded deobar cane
- ash-handled pike
- narrow-headed spear
This seems really newbie-unfriendly: "Nice spear you just bought; enjoy carrying it around forever!"
There's also nowhere (AFAIK) in Zoluren to buy a weapon strap, which means newbies who want to use Staff/Pike/HT get to make a trip to Illithi before they can store their freshly-bought weapon.
Can we add weapon straps to the stock at Berolt's?
Why does Milgrym's Weapons sell so many weapons that don't fit in Crossing-sold containers? on 10/13/2017 05:49 PM CDT

>>Cghc: Oh wow... how long has that been true?
Since August 2015.
>>Cghc: I'll see if I can figure out how to update Elanthipedia so this shows up in a search for "weapon strap"; right now there aren't any hits in Zoluren for it.
How are you searching?
When I search for weapon strap, leather weapon strap (2), the one in Crossing is the first search result: https://elanthipedia.play.net/index.php?title=Special%3ASearch&profile=advanced&fulltext=Search&search=weapon+strap&ns0=1&ns110=1&ns111=1&ns112=1&ns113=1&ns114=1&ns115=1&ns116=1&ns117=1&ns118=1&ns119=1&ns120=1&ns121=1&profile=advanced
It's also listed here (ignore the rare tag): https://elanthipedia.play.net/Weapon_strap
And if you search for noun=strap, you'll find it here as well: https://elanthipedia.play.net/mediawiki/index.php/Special:RunQuery/ItemQuery

Going to say since 8/12/2015, ha! Fairly recent update.
Anyway, I was curious, so I went ahead and had my baby cleric with 0 Outfitting make a strap. Granted, investment for tailoring book, store-bought tools, and jute fibers was like 3 gold kronar, so more than just buying one from Berolt's, but was able to make a functioning (marred burlap weapon strap) strap. And learned 3-4 ranks of Outfitting.
I often use leftover leather/cloth scrap for straps which I dump onto donation shelves. So for other people reading in a similar situation, doesn't hurt to rummage those or even hang out in the Outfitting guild and offer someone a few coins to make one.
>get coin
You try to get some mounds of platinum coins, but they're out of reach.
>wail
You begin an eerie, warbling wail of despair.

Yeah, this is where I was looking. It's listed there now because I updated Elanthipedia to list it; the issue was that the "Leather Weapon Strap (2)" item was missing the "itype = weapon strap" attribute.
