A curiosity I'd like to look into as well. What drops scythes (something undead, right?) and what's the going rate? I'd like to get my hands on one.

Slightly rotund in the center, wrinkles around the eyes. Far past their prime but still reliable in a pinch.

Maybe a Simucon event could be 'Find Caelumia's Secret Spot'.

I suspect alcohol might be needed.

>appraise scythe careful
A severely curved steel scythe with a twisted ironwood haft is a halberd pole-ranged weapon.

You are certain that it could do:
fair puncture damage
heavy slice damage
fair impact damage

You are certain that the scythe is fairly balanced and is reasonably suited to gaining extra attack power from your strength.

You are certain that the steel scythe is fairly sturdy, and is in pristine condition.

The steel scythe is made with metal.
You wonder if the steel scythe might weigh a few tens of stones.
You are certain that the steel scythe is worth exactly 202 dokoras.
Roundtime: 16 seconds.

You put your steel scythe on the counter.

Twelvetoes squints at the balance beam needle and says, "The scythe weighs about fifty stones," and puts the scythe on the counter.

Its a good weapon but I prefer the Khuj

appraise khuj careful
A slender khuj is a halberd pole-ranged weapon.

You are certain that it could do:
low puncture damage
severe slice damage
heavy impact damage

You are certain that the khuj is poorly balanced and is well suited to gaining extra attack power from your strength.

You are certain that the slender khuj is of average strength, and is in pristine condition.

The slender khuj is made with metal.
You are confident that the slender khuj might weigh several tens of stones.
You are certain that the slender khuj is worth exactly 9020 dokoras.
Roundtime: 16 seconds.

Twelvetoes squints at the balance beam needle and says, "The khuj weighs about sixty-two stones," and puts the khuj on the counter.

This is why I prefer the scythe.

The extra damage is nice but you can actually use the scythe for parrying and not get eaten up.

SEND[Iayn] You are not staff sling primary?
You say, "No, I'm not crazy."
SEND[Iayn] everyone knows staff slings are barbaric.
SEND[Iayn] certainly more barbaric than folding little pieces of paper

Hrmm...there really needs to be more player made pikes. I think a player made scythe would be wicked;)
