My two cents..
If you're in the market for a halberd, get yourself a severely curved scythe. Not only are they free (or available at minimal cost..If need be you can pay someone to kill a plague wraith for you), but they combine some pretty serious damage with extremely decent balance and suitedness (f/h/f - f/r). Plus they're bloody mean looking. Only drawback is their construction (fairly sturdy).

On my way to get one of these right now. I figured my altered Lochabar Axe would be safe as long as I didn't parry with it, but I was wrong.
