Can anyone give me some specs on the nimsha, it's HE, and I am thinking of purchasing it, can anyone post an appraise here? also I have an elven longsword right now, do you think it will give me more roundtime with the nimsha?
Re: Nimsha on 06/09/2004 06:36 PM CDT
A nimsha is a bit heavier than an Elven longsword (42 stones vs. 28 stones) and would need a strength factor of 36 to get the minimum RT. You are better off buying a forged broadsword or bastard sword for half the price or less than a nimsha.

Speaking of basties, can they be made to emphasize balance rather than strength?
Regardless, I'm in the market for one for my bard, but only have 15 plat in the budget for it. Possible to get a heavy slice HE, severe slice 2HE, balanced bastie for that price?

>>How much are the Fest Nimsha's goin for?
The sales clerk smiles and says, "The price on an acid-etched nimsha with a carved dragon's blood crystal pommel is 135300 Dokoras. You can BUY the item if you like."
A tightly leather-wrapped hilt leads to an antiqued steel crossguard carefully shaped in the likeness of two large bat-like wings unfurled wide.
An acid-etched nimsha with a carved dragon's blood crystal pommel is a heavy edged melee-ranged weapon.
You are certain that it could do:
low puncture damage
heavy slice damage
low impact damage
You are certain that the nimsha is fairly balanced and is fairly suited to gaining extra attack power from your strength.
You are certain that the acid-etched nimsha is fairly sturdy, and is in pristine condition.
The acid-etched nimsha is made with metal.
You guess that the acid-etched nimsha weighs around 45 stones.
You are certain that the acid-etched nimsha is worth exactly 135300 dokoras.

It's kind of funny, thinking back. I can remember, once upon a time, going to the exotic weapon shop in Leth, seeing the Nimsha, and gasping at the price, thinking "god, I'll never be able to afford a weapon like that."

that cloth and ones like it only work when inside the quest area during your quest.

Ahh you are thinking of the cloth from the latest quest and the dunshade quest. I am speaking of this:
>tap cloth
You tap a gossamer cloth that you are holding.
>look cloth
>
The thin, fine cloth's threads glow with a shimmering whiteness. A small message appears:
Wipe thy treasured blade with this cloth
A holy protection to thus ensure
Although the powers one day be lost
Til then thy blade strike hard and pure.
The cloth is folded.
>open cloth
You unfold the cloth.
>rumm cloth
You rummage through a gossamer cloth and see a dark damascened longsword.
>tap longsword
You tap a dark damascened longsword inside your gossamer cloth.
>look longsword
The dark blade of the sword swirls with forge markings and the hilt ends in a thistle-shaped verdigris pommel. An amethyst gleams embedded within the green-copper flower bracts.
That is a weapon from I believe the taisidon quest(I bought it second hand, didn't go on the quest) it is blessed when you put it in that cloth and I believe you get 100 strikes for it, but I don't understand if the poem means it works once a day or if it means it has limited charges, I never use it since it is just a store quality longsword, I just always though it was neat and got it for a good price years ago.
