I've been using a forged 21 stone broadsword for a year or so now, and my stats have started to look up significantly, so i've been wondering what the best HE can be forged around 40 stones(give or take) is like, particularly interested in longswords and broadswords.

I believe i purchased one of your claymores some time ago, and since i've been very impressed with its power and have had no need of any other 2HE weapon, which is why i was curious about the more strictly HE weapons. However, if the basties simply out perform them all around these weights, i'll definitely be looking into it, thank you for the very swift reply!

In my opinion the bastie does out perform the others, but if you did want strictly HE, the 34 broadsword is l/h/f/f/r the 40 stone broa is l/g/l/f/f. the 31 longsword is l/h/f/f/r.
im just a bastie man, and as nice as the 36 and especially the 50 is for straight steel, ya just can not go wrong. of course if ya want some nice rp value, the 70 battle axe is a sweet p/g/h/d/w. very nice rp value swinging a battle axe into a crits skull.

Been looking at getting an axe myself. How do the stats change at lower weights? Looking at my effective strength, assuming the balance/suitability don't change too much with lighter weights, I'd be particularly interested in the 53-62 stone range. If there's a big drop in effectiveness, I'll take the 70 stone, though I'll have to dump a couple of circles worth of tdps into strength before it's be feasible for everyday hunting.
