I have had alot of people tell me medium edges is worthless because heavy edge can be trained down to the same RT and always will hit harder. So I guess i'm asking should I drop ME for HE?

You can always train more than just the weapons required for your guild's circling requirements as well. Never hurts to have more TDP's.

I don't believe you can get 2 second roundtimes for slice and chop with the Heavy Edged template combos.

<< Personaly I'd say use whatever weapon you like to picture yourself useing.
Exactly. Using a weapon that's 2% faster/better/shinier isn't worth giving up a weapon that makes you go "heck yeah" every time you swing.

I've used both ME and HE with various chars. ME is easier for a weaker but more agile person to handle, and some MEs compare favorably to HEs for power. If you're going to be a muscular person, by all means train HE or 2HE. But that doesn't mean ME is worthless.

I agree with Arcelebor. Go with whatever is fun for you and your character. A Kaldar I chose to go with weapons that would fit a larger race HE,2HE,Comp bow. The I use ME but it is a dabble thing. Imagine Shaq or the big show walking around with a scimitar, then imagine them with a Claymore which would you find scarier?

The scimitar, its weightless compared to a claymore in the hands of Shaq or Paul White. That thing can be swung with ease. Don't let the size fool you. Yeah a claymore is HUGE compared. But umm...a scimitar in the hands of one of them two will hurt alot more in the long run if you can't dodge. Its lighter and can be swung faster and hit more times than the claymore.

Neither, they probably don't play DR.

When I met Shaq on LSU's campus I was surprised to find out that he didnt train Medium edge at all, so I doubt he would really hurt someone with a scimitar.
In theory there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice there is.

<<Well he could hurt a rat.>>
No, he couldn't. He has 0 ranks of medium edged and 3 agility.
He has 500 ranks in dunking a basketball though. WTG
