Curious if any LP users out there know...what is considered the 'best' LP helmet? Are there any old merchant ones that end up with high/high, or is forged the best it gets?

Overall, I'd say a capped forged armet helm is the best for weight, hinderance, and protection value.

There ARE some other, and interesting options though--
The crossing armory sells a bascinet helm that appraises protection as g/h/f/g/m/p, fair hinderance and does not cover eyes. Getting high slice protection and fair impact protection (I believe) is not possible to forge given the current armet helm and bascinet helm templates (I haven't tried making a bascinet helm in a really long time...but that only covers head and probably not worth applying a LP aventail and leather mask).

One other option is to get a bascinet helm (this one will cover eyes) at the dirge which appraises in protection as: g/g/f/g/m/p and light hinderance. Once again, the impact protection is above par on this storebought item.

Each should only cost about a gold. Much different than a 10 plat forged helm, but a forged armet helm will have less hinderance.

I'm not really aware of any special quest or fest LP helms out there.
