I'm trying to find another weapon to get into, but I'm not sure how the available weapons handle. I'm no weapon junky, so I was wondering if some of you more versatile weapon users could tell me which way I should go, out of the choices of Quarterstaff, Pike, and Halberd.

Wanted to break away from the traditional "edged" weapon catagory.

>>Quarterstaff, Pike, and Halberd.

Having trained all three skills, Halberd all the way. The Lochaber Axe from Ratha is just sweet. Hefty price tag at 15 plat, but Heavy Slice/Sever Impact its worth it. A little weighty but then again so are QS and they don't hit nearly as hard. To train pike I use a forged spear, but with the flmsy construction ONLY with a shield, and even with lunge in the combo its don't hold a candle to the damage the Axe can do. I have yet to find a container for the Axe so you'll need a weapon strap.

A lochaber axe is a halberd type weapon.

You are certain that it could do:
poor puncture damage
great slice damage
severe impact damage

You are certain that the axe is poorly balanced and is reasonably suited to gaining extra attack power from your strength.

You are certain that the lochaber axe is of average strength, and is practically in mint condition.

The lochaber axe is made with metal.
You wonder if the lochaber axe might weigh several tens of stones.
You are certain that the lochaber axe is worth exactly 162500 kronars.

How low can you get the RT's down to on those halberds? What could 29 strength and agility get me?

Thanks for the information, by the way, especially so fast.

You can get roundtimes on halberd down to as low as any other weapon not LE, LB, ME, or MB. At 62 stones, minimum roundtime would come at 46 effective strength.

If you do decide to go with halberd another option is the short hafted halberd from Theren.
A short blued-steel halberd with a leather-wrapped ironwood shaft is a halberd type weapon.

You are certain that it could do:
moderate puncture damage
moderate slice damage
fair impact damage

You are certain that the halberd is fairly balanced and is fairly suited to gaining extra attack power from your strength.

You are certain that the blued-steel halberd is fairly sturdy, and is in pristine condition.

The blued-steel halberd is made with metal.
The blued-steel halberd feels light.
You are certain that the blued-steel halberd is worth exactly 23062 kronars.
Roundtime: 16 seconds.
This particular one was from some festival but the short hafted have the same appraisel. There 40 stones and once you get strength and agil to 30 you'll have a 3/4 rt with most of the moves

No it doesnt. If you really want one that hits from pole I've seen forged halberds that are 38 stones and about the same in appraisel. The only differance was, the forged one was a bit better balanced and the short hafted a bit better suited and also better construction.
