A friend of mine uses quarter staff, and I told her I would try to find her a good one. Are the best those that are carved? Or is there a good store bought one? She doesnt have too much strength, so being light is important for the weapon.

Lightest readily-available quarterstaff is the bo stick (40 stones, ~K30, Milgrym's Weapons; or scavenged from wood trolls in a premium hunting area) and its lightened counterpart (30 stones, ~L500, El'Bain's Stop). Both are no/no/mod, hit from pole range, and are one-handed.
