Assuming all the fest ammo is the same...

Spikes, Shards, Balanced Stones, Elongated Stones (maybe on that one) all perform better\or at least just as good IMO.

I don't train sling, but when I do I use granite spikes.

The elongated stones get the most impact, no/no/somewhat heavy....seem to be working pretty well for me...spikes do more damage?

No, and yes, and it depends. The elongated stones have the most impact but the worst balance I think. They are harder to hit with.

I would say test it out for yourself. I can say if you always can 100% hit, the elongated stones will probably always do more impact damage.

There is a ton of other variables and they only way to know for yourself is to test them out and find out what works the best for you.
