Increased the minimum escaping reward per creature if you're not into the soft cap. This means those with low escaping, in comparison to what they're fleeing from, should learn a bit better.
It's still much more efficient to flee from a creature that's within your escaping skill range.

It will teach you if you have enough ranks in escaping to compete with its defenses, similar to a weapon. Is this intended?
And I believe the timer got dropped to 2 minutesish.

Not sure I understand the question.
I wouldn't directly compare this to normal combat experience gain.
You can use the creature's weapon skill as something to measure against your escaping skill to find something that will teach effectively but that is certainly not absolute.
