so now that brawling mode is kaput, has anyone done any testing on mixing in brawling moves in regular combat routines?

I've done the "circle/slice/shove" cycle that I used in brawling mode to train and it works fine out of brawling mode. Teaching about the same.. so I learn brawling and weapon.

Brawling mode has been eliminated but they have not changed the effective combinations (e.g., if you were in brawling mode before you could still mix brawling maneuvers with weapon maneuvers).

If you're asking what the effective combinations are...

The best way to loop the nondamaging maneuvers in my experience is circle/weave/bob.

Circle/Weave --> Sweep

Bob --> Slice/Bash

Punch --> Chop

Elbow --> Circle/Weave/Parry/Dodge

Kick --> Slice/Bash

These are the segueys I've found effective. As an example, my normal nonbrawling 2HE combo is parry/feint/draw/sweep/slice/chop repeat. When I'm advancing on something I use circle/weave/bob. Depending on when I reach melee I will either have just weaved or bobbed. With weave I will start the weapon sequence at 'sweep' then continue normally, with bob 'slice' then continue normally.

Threw in the punch/kick/elow if you're curious about damaging maneuvers too. I haven't tested much with bite, gouge, headbutt or knee.

DIMINISHEDANGEL, you'd just barely start seeing some problems:

Tracking period : 360 min (6 hr 0 min)
Modified gain time : 284 min (4 hr 44 min) [78% of time]
