Been wondering about this for many years now. I currently use a 34 stone claymore..but I consistantly get harder hits with heavier weapons..even ones that app the same or slightly less. Was wondering if weight had anything at all to do with damage..For instance, the 71 stone splitting maul tends to hit harder than damn near anything i have tried..cept for one of magdar's heavy greatswords. I recently had someone forge me an identical claymore but 20 stones heavier and after some test i found the heavier blade did a bit more damage.. Maybe its just me, as I do tend to drink a bit too much bacardi at times. Been in the realms for a long time and still i dont have an answer..maybe someone who has been here longer..or someone a bit more sober could answer this one for me.
