Purchased this at the cambrinth weapon auction. Curious if anyone knows where the original weapon might have come from since most of what was sold was forged/fletched. Just is a kinda odd appraisal so was curious if it looked familiar to anyone. Info on the claymore is below. THanks

a steel claymore with a leather-wrapped handle and cambrinth pommel that you are holding.

A steel claymore with a leather-wrapped handle and cambrinth pommel is a two-handed edged melee-ranged weapon.
You are certain that it could do:
no puncture damage
severe slice damage
heavy impact damage
You are certain that the claymore is poorly balanced and is reasonably suited to gaining extra attack power from your strength.
You are certain that the steel claymore is well constructed, and is in pristine condition.
The steel claymore is made with metal.
The steel claymore has a bit of weight to it.
You are certain that the steel claymore is worth exactly 541200 dokoras.

Measuring a little over four feet in length, the claymore is exceedingly well-crafted. The long leather-wrapped grip extends below the cambrinth-inset cross-guard, ending in a large cambrinth pommel. Small symbols can be seen on the blade just above the hilt.
There appears to be something written on it.

A steel claymore reads:
Forged in the year of the Amber Phoenix, 346 years after the victory of Lanival, in the 7th month of Moliko the Balance.

That doesn't appraise like any claymore that can be forged. Namely, because you can't make any claymores with better than dismal balance, but having 'no puncture' is pretty weird as hell too, forged ones can easily have fair puncture.

The severe slice and heavy impact aren't really that special though, for a claymore.

Ahhh here we go, I was just looking through some weapon templates when I found some matching ones. Does the claymore happen to weigh 85 stones?

I have 5 weapons listed that also appraise n/s/h/p/r well constructed, all are 85 stones.

A steel shh'oi'ata, sold in Muspari
A boarding axe, sold in Ratha
A two-handed warring axe, sold in Shard
A ignorat axe, sold in Steelclaw Clan
A black walnut-handled bearded war axe, from some older auction

Go figure they model the claymore on an axe template, GMs are funny.
