I just wanted to thank everyone for their posts and feedback. It's very gratifying to see all the interest that this new system has begun to generate, and I'm very pleased to see all the posts here, both positive and negative, as the system continues to undergo further development.
As I've said before in my primary topic (Healing Systems), I don't monitor the boards on a daily basis, and even when I do, I certainly won't post responses very often, since my primary duties are in development. However, I will read all posts placed within this topic, and I'll try to respond to the most salient ones as I can and as it seems advisable to do so.
And in that vein, my first item will be...
If you learn Skinning from removing a blood worm... think about what, precisely, the knowledge and practice of skinning entails, and what aid that might be in removing something that has burrowed (at least in part) into the flesh of another creature.
Consider similar thoughts for all the skills learned, and who learns them, when removing bloodsuckers. Take note of the messaging you see at such times, as well.
And for those who don't know me... while I don't answer questions that I'm not permitted to answer... often, the question is the answer. Think about it.

GM Dami has already said, in the Migration thread (post 15), that other such creatures may be found throughout the realm. Ten to one they'll infest your vault on your dinky island. ::Innocent hum::
And, Towint, even though this has been said numerous times (or atleast implied, gah) in the Empath folder.. we love you. And keep nagging Nionon about the SSP for us? ::Greases a few palms..::
--The futile mind behind Suna, tired as always..

This is a brilliant system that helps to replace the pet bleeder syndrome with something fun and more interesting. I don't hunt in crocs much, but I can't wait to see this system expanded to other areas of the realm with different critters. Learning skinning, mech, and first aid from removing the worms is completely logical if anyone has the slightest notion of surgery or skinning. Great work!

Ok, i did it only once and right as soon as i saw it.. i've got 83 ranks in FA.. but it still gave me 30sec RT so I doubt i'd like to fight a croc while trying to tend one off...
Also i noticed that you don't pick them up hardly at all unless you swim around.. anyone else notice this?

I like the bloodworms, I just wish I could find them in an area where the critters that lived there still taught me. For now I just take the occasional stroll through crocs and pick up a few, while laughing at the crocs.
I'm in there hunting them with LX, my 16th weapon, for heaven's sake! (not an exaggeration, BTW ... have 12 weapons at 50+, 10 at 75+, 8 at 100+ ... only 4 at 0 00% clear, halberd, HT, SS and pike)
