I've had no problem up until yesterday working my skills, ie: TM, EM, Harn, ME, Armor, evasion and so on. I'm now mostly over or close to 40 ranks in most of these skills and I can't even get some of them to gain any experience... Namely TM and a few others. I was under the impression that scavenger goblins should train until about 60 ranks. It that doesn't seem to be the case. Where should I go from here? Grendels don't seem to work it and cougars seem to kill me way to fast. I tried wood trolls. It the mixture of the cougars and all the other creatures swarming together kills me pretty fast as well.... Any help would be appreciated.

Eels are the classic step up from goblins. I always like water sprites, and it's a shame that they've closed off that area.
You might also want to check out the brambles for trollkins and pothanits. That was a nice middle between goblins and woodies/beisswurms.
If you want to travel, kobolds down by Shard are nice, with jackals and boggles.
Another traveling option is to go to haven and go for the shamans/rams/eels, but be careful because the rams can hit hard. This is nice because it leads right into duskies.
