Anything that falls in the after vipers range around Shard? Looking for something with weapons around 160ish and defenses around 180ish.

The red leucroes are what I used at that range. Just be careful because they can hit hard.

Alternately, there may be something in Undershard for you.

The eidelon steeds won't train in that range- though they do seem to teach multi and shield (assuming you have enough throw-aways) well after they stop teaching anything else.

Now, there is an area off pards and arzumos that has horses that rangers can catch and tame- but I don't know anything about them when it comes to hunting.

Looks like I have to train elsewhere for a bit longer. Steeds don't teach me anymore and the red leucs smash me up still. Thanks for everyone's help.

Frostweavers would fill this gap if your an estate holder.

La'tami as well if you have a bit of climbing.

Just hike out to Boar Clan and hunt bloodvines for a bit. By the time they stop teaching defenses you're about where you need to be to survive 3 red leucs. Which, if you're hunting there alone, is about all you'll see.

What guild are ya? Once you finish in blood vines, there's alot of stuff in hib to hunt. And if yer a cleric, ice adders aren't half bad (or if you know a cleric to uncurse the door).

Hib has a much more...fluid? critter progression, than shard does.

ice adders unless something changed drained vital like a mad man from non clerics even with PFE up. So IMO they aren't worth it unless something changed or your a cleric.

The one time I tried them, I resisted it most of the time. I assume it's stat based, but don't rightly know.

you could try some of the things in undershard with those ranks.
if you are a cleric, you could also try some of the things such as crags and moths near the entrance to the area close by the white bridge.

Scythewing moths will work around there. Larva will be too easy, and i think crags might whack you in a multi situation, but you should be able to handle 1-2.
