Crossing Sewer thugs/cutthroats/ruffians have stopped really training that well, and I'm not good enough for Throne City alley thugs. Is there anything between the two that have a decent box dropping rate?

River Sprites and Maiden Tresses are great for general combat purposes, but River Sprites aren't that enthusiastic when it comes to dropping boxes and Tresses are even more apathetic about it.

What actual ranks are you discussing? Is this for a thief, or non-thief?

200ish in Evasion
140ish in Disarm/Locks

Non thief.

Hmm, you might be able to milk a bit more out of Swain's... 2nd Tier Snoblins might be up your alley as well.

If you want to stay on the mainland, have you given undershard a try? (Specifically, the warrents, not grey market (too low), or the spire(too high).

Swains stopped teaching ages ago.

2nd/3rd tier snow goblins are okay, but (for lack of a better way of putting it) I'm just bored of returning there yet another time.

Can't hurt to try Undershard, at least. I was hesitant to go there in the past because I didn't want a random Faenrae Stalker ruining my day. They still randomly show up there, right? I don't know how rare mobs work with the genning mechanics that were put in place forever ago during my time away.

It's been awhile since I was in the warrens, so I can't say for certain, but I THINK the stalkers only appear in the spire.

I'm in that general vicinity and I've been mostly training in Lang with peccs/swamp trolls/fens. They don't drop as many boxes as I'd like, but they drop enough so that disarm/locks don't fall way behind on my thief.

I was going to suggest fens and swamp trolls also. They worked great for me in that range.
