What's the next place I should go after kra'hei hatchlings? I can easily handle 3 or 4 hatchlings with only taking on minor rare bruises and these days I'm mostly backtraining a second and third weapon.

I looked at the map for the area with swamp trolls, peccs, also listed were fendryads and sinuous elsralael. I think it's obvious the fendryad and especially the elsralael are way above my skills and would likely get me killed. The swamp trolls: I noticed there are two kinds listed, but the map does not differentiate between them. Swamp troll 2 I should be able to take on, but swamp troll type 3.. not so sure. By looking at the map it looks like it's possible you could run into both types of swamp trolls, and at the south end of the swamp you could hit fendryads? I'm sensing a travel advisory is needed for hunters in the area?

In the fens there are small peccaries, 2 different trolls, and fendryads.
In the northern and central portion you will only see peccaries and maul wielding (easier of the two) trolls. As you get to the water's edge (you need to "leap" between hummocks) you will run into peccaries, mace/shield trolls, and fendryads.
Elasraels are in the water.

>Ok on the map I didn't see anything about leaping anywhere, just a swamp section and a separate water section with no apparent link connecting the two. Am I to assume if I stay in the "swamp" section I should not encounter the tougher swamp trolls, fendryads and those other things?
No, reread the last post.

This might be a good thing add this to my list of Ranik maps that need sprucing. Though I'm not making as much headway as I did 2 weeks ago.

I don't think we ever take the training wheels off as players or gamemasters.

Also keep in mind since its an open area with no barriers, critters can wander around.
You will see overlaps of the two diff swamp trolls just from their normal movement between rooms. You might even catch a stray fendryad now and then in the central areas.
RIP Tachid. Thank you for all the laughs.

The map is a good way to get a general idea of the area. I would highly recommend exploring the area so you get an actual idea of its geography.
The southern part of the fens (swamp) is a collection of hummocks. You need to "leap" from hummock to hummock. Those hummocks contain peccaries, shield/mace trolls, and fendryads. I described it as the "water's edge" because you will find those same creatures along the portion of the fens which borders the watery area.
If you fall into the water and don't want to be in there with the elsrael and fendrysads, you need to get back onto the hummock.
