Im a Barb, currently i am sitting around 200 in all relevant skills. Except perception which is 100.
I am happy in little pecs and trolls for maybe another 25-35 ranks.
I had hoped to head to the Orc Scouts and Warcats near Rossmans.
What do i need in perception to avoid getting owned by the cats Ambush ect?

Yeah, im not too worried about perception. Its staying at 20/34 or higher most of the time now with hunt.
It only dropped away due to hunting in Viper/serpents where hunt was unusable.
It will proberly be around 160-170ish by the time I have 225ish in other skills.
Ive had second thoughts about going to Orc Scouts any way, mostly due to proberly having trouble keeping parry moving with a ranged critter in there.
I prefer to swap stances while brawling to cap shield and parry, then work on other weapons. Cant go full parry with out becoming a pin cushion.

Its been about 8 years since i last played DR. Started fresh this time around. (love all the changes)
Im abit foggy on what i used to hunt.
But I think I went Little pecs, rank 3 trolls and fens, until around 260ish, then I moved onto Adanf. (again was 10 years ago).
Last thing I remember hunting was Ruby dropping scorpions of some sort and something else in a maze on Ratha that moved my weapons around 370ish.
Oh and Rossmans had just opened up and the Pecs up there were great.
Will proberly try to follow the same pattern.

>>A lot more. I'd estimate they'd have to at least be equal to your combats, generally, to be safe.
Yes. 200ish didn't come close to doing it. Haven't been back there since that point to tell you how much higher than that brings a degree of safety.

with 279 evasion, my barb doesn't get bothered by the cats any more. although the sabretooths are a different kettle of fish.

Oh and last one, DR at any given time has a population of weenies that will criticize at the drop of a hat, don't take things personally it happens to everyone.
