Anyone hunt these? I was wondering if I could learn with these stats:
HE: 325
ME: 280
Parry: 378
Multi: 311
Evasion: 340
Shield: 250
Skinning: 208
I see that you need to climb in if you're not a cleric, would 230 climbing work? I'm a barbarian so I don't think their spells will bother me. Thanks!

You should do fine there, but the spells might still bother you. Your climbing should be good to get up but it might take a few climbs to get to the top and back down. They teach weapons to somewhere into the 400 range so i know they'll work for that. Defensively not sure how much damage they will do against a barb dancing or who can resist vertigo.

Thanks for the information. I spent about 30 minutes there here's what i found
- only managed to find 10 or so gargoyles during the time. one taught me HE pretty well but gen was underwhelming. i thought it was because of the huge area but running around didn't do anything
- could only get parry to thoughtful. i think it was more bc they weren't attacking and instead just casting vertigo over and over
- wasn't able to mind resist vertigo but i think it might have to do with my 10 charisma
- skinning was too hard at 208
seems like a good area, but probably not for barbs

They locked longbow back when I had like 410 in it, found that funny.
Oddly enough, highest spawn seemed like it was inside, se and sw from the altar, at least the few times I've gone there for hides it was better than the outer areas (seems to take them a bit to first start spawning though).
They aren't the easiest thing to skin.

Thanks for that spawn info, I'll check out that room later on. I'm stuck in that post bristle back/pre celpeze gap. I'm sure I could milk bristle for weapons but they die so quickly. I don't want to go to raiders because my already poor skinning would get worse and then I won't be able to learn from celpeze when I get there.

Maybe it is because I'm on M'riss? Not sure. The bog is pretty empty though last night somehow I ended up with five on me pretty quickly which was nice.
I tried Germandish too, was working nice until I got thrown across the room. Great gen there. I'm guessing that it is heavily stat based because when I danced panther I got only cuts when I was thrown vs massive bleeders without it. They're also really rough on weapons, took my broadsword to badly damaged after only a couple of minutes from pristine.
Can't dance panther back to back yet though so guess that place won't work unless I raise reflex.

Try bristles in Rossman's. The gen is FAR better there, but eventually you're likely to have to bite the bullet and move to raiders. You may be able to squeeze a few ranks of skinning from the warcats just outside the manor, but I'm not sure how well they teach.

Thats where I am now. I like it here, but my main problem is that when I try to go to gryphons to work lower weapons I get lost in the forest. I only have 236 perception, do you know how much you need to navigate it? Even if I throw up eagle it doesn't help.
I can do the deadfall fine, but here I just wander in random directions. This is the thicket where there are scouts/warcats.
If I could navigate it successfully I'd probably end up at Rossmans because then I can get my climbing training easier.

The thicket NE of the marker? That's a maze.. not like the deadfall at all. Even my cleric when he only had 80 perception had no issues, so long as you know the directions to go.

Yup, it not random. If you go a direction you can't you wander and end up in same room. Just follow the map and you'll be fine.
