would they fall into this category? if not, approx how much is required to fight 'em toe-to-toe?
they were in the invasion yesterday night in crossing and appraised as difficult. They also seemed to have quite a bit of perception, as I couldn't take 'em out from hiding. And ended up badly balanced, then thats all she wrote til i saw dat grinnin skull on my screen....
so... whats the skivvy on 'em?
thanks

When I did my round through P5 and Shard the other week trying different critters, stormbulls were teaching excellent with 400 multi, 460 parry, 500 evasion. It's just a very dead area (no peoples I saw), and nothing much else nearby for me to do. And they cast magics, some something so occasionaly when you attack them you get electrocuted and (I think) take nerve damage.

I'm not sure what spell it is. I watch the storm bulls cast suf, es, and then while the es is up I'm guessing they put something up on it so when you hit you get shocked. Not sure what else they may cast.
And remember, they do tweak invasion critters sometimes. Not always exact copies, they can make them easier/harder (correct?).

Yeah, I would think a ranged weapon would discharge the GZ or whatever just as well as a melee weapon.

<<They would be amazing if you didn't need ES to avoid the shocking when using any metal weapons. They suck just now though and i never see anyone hunting them if i decide to go for a bit.
Yup. I went once. Taught excellent, but every time I parried ZAP. It wasn't worth the trouble. I figured its a warmie critter.

Cylons... why debugging matters.

GZ is not a "dischargable" spell. It is a electricity based TM spell that can only be cast at opponents at Pole or Meele not missle. As a TM spell it is shield blockable.
At least that is the WM version. I vaguely recall the Storm Bull version being more or less same when P5 first opened up and I was running around on my "tour grande" of the place I had the distinct umm... pleasure of getting zapped by it.
Unles something had changed since it should be stil the WM version of the spell.

What I was referring to was the buildup they have between the horns (it's not actually GZ or SD but a proprietary creature magic attack, hence the "or whatever") that looks like this:
As your scimitar lands, a bright blue-white light flares around the storm bull, and a sharp CRACK of electricity discharges through the metal scimitar.
The jolt travels through your body, making it convulse in pain!
< Driving in like an adept combatant, you sweep a scimitar at a storm bull. A storm bull badly fails to parry with its long pearly horn. The scimitar lands a good hit to the bull's back.
[You're nimbly balanced and overwhelming opponent.]
[Roundtime 2 sec.]

I want a WM spell that lets us do that.

i'd like to see a critter similar to this that didn't require you to have an ES, for barbarian hunting.
