I was going to work against wraiths hopefully in the next few days and was hoping someone could help sort out the following information for me.
DRPlat says wraiths are ghostly undead and that they cast spells but don't have boxes. Elanthipedia says they are corporeal and do have boxes but don't cast spells. Slight disparity there.
Anyone able to give me the correct information? If wraiths aren't viable I'll probably try dancers.

Good luck with the spawn in there, I couldn't ever get more than 1 to show up at a time in a room.
Can't we just crank the spawn to 11 on all critters till you're done with the combat rewrite Dart?

Wraiths will really be just a box creature for me, so it'll be hunt/kill, hunt/kill, hunt/kill nonstop. The RP of hunting undead appeals to me. I just put on a cleric title and I'm good to go heh
If the spawn or drop rate really is that lousy I'll probably go to the ice caves, or try to find some other box donor at that level on that side of the world.

I have been hunting these off and on from the plat side for the last few months mainly for the scouting experience as usually they are very spread apart. Only recently as in the last few days I have seen them cast spells at me.

But great boxes when they do drop. And blessed weapons help but are not required.

Do you know what spells they cast? If not you can try RECALLing them to see. Would love to know and add it to Elanthipedia. Thanks in advance.

Here are the two snippets I have. One may be some special attact but the other looks magical.
A vile plague wraith rears back and slowly draws in a deep breath before lurching forward to regurgitate a swarm of scorpions at you!
With cunning movements you manage to evade the rain of vicious black scorpions, which fall to the ground with a sickening SPLAT!
[You're solidly balanced and in dominating position.]
A plague wraith raises an open skeletal hand towards you, sending a misty tendril of emerald green light streaking in your direction!
You evade the blast of emerald light easily.
A vile plague wraith snarls and says, "Bow to your massster sssilly flessshlingsss, you have nothing but death to look forward to."

It must be a plat thing. I went in twice and danced for a while both times, waiting to see if they would cast any spells. All I saw was that bizarre black fly search. It doesn't look like they're using magic in prime.

If you're a MU and recall it you should be able to see what spells it casts. From that messaging I don't think it was a spell at all but rather a special attack.
