The best things I've found to teach weapons at the 500 range with the same defense requirements of south barricade celepze are the Mid level celepze on kresh. They have a really good spawn rate, better than south barricade ones and have a slightly higher cap for weapons.
As far as black apes and machata's they require alot of reflex and defenses to hunt and black apes require either alot of agility to bypass the god like parry they have for what they are or you need defenses will past what is required for even super celepze because you'll have 3 on you most of the time while you break its parry.

I trained up in celps on Kresh, and got all my skills in the 520 range. Due to the fest I traveled back to the mainlands and gave the apes another try and agree that their parry is really annoying, also for their level I noticed they do not teach defense anywhere near as well as even the lower tier celps. I feel like they could use a bit of adjustment, either they should teach a little better or their parry abilities should be lowered a tad.
Fore pure training purposes at the levels I'm talking about you truly can't beat celps, perhaps that is the reward for them being out on the islands in a difficult spot to travel to.
