Well, when you look at it, Necromancy is a sub-set of Sorcery.
Sorcery: a spell cast using two different magic types.
Necromancy: a spell cast using two different magic types, one of which is Life.

So a Necromancer is a more specialized Sorceror, or something.

I personally like the idea of a new guild..especially if its a mean, nasty one like a sorcerer guild or something similar.

Sure would be nice to have full access to those new spells on the lists..blackfire sorcery..arcane magic..mmm.

That would be survival skills primary set, lore secondary set, all else tert....with charisma and agility as primary stats. Make sure you have several hundred ranks in evasion and verbal parrying to get those bonus skills.

not exactly the normal thought line, but I was thinking about a new guild tonight... and I have a feeling that any new guild is going to be focused on unarmed combat. I hesitate to use a D&D term(monk) or a martial artist term... but I could just see them with some sorta barbarian similar inner fire thing used for particular strikes, with more advanced brawling techniques, and focusing secondarily on lore, rather than survival like a barbarian. Just a thought

There is no reason to create such a limited guild when you could in fact incorperate it into the barbarians guild. I don't mean to bash the idea, but barbs have 2 weapon requirements...if a barb learns Brawling, he's become a monk as you've mentioned. The Barbarian "Dances" are as I understand it, Martial Arts type stance. They already have brawling moves I believe are unique to the barbarians guild (The choke/neck break)...I think it would be better for them

I personally think that if there is a new guild, it will be possibly a necromancer/sorcery guild.
