If you've ever thought of dipping your toe into the DR staff pool, now's a great time! We've got several openings for qualified Board Monitors.

Job Requirements:

-- Monitors should have a basic understanding of the message board system and the current policies involved with using the system; should be able to enforce these regulations.

-- Monitors must be able to maintain a daily presence on the message boards.

-- Monitors must be able to devote a minimum of 10 hours a week to the message boards.

-- Monitors may be asked to compile reports on various folders, to submit to the associated Game Masters and Guild Liaisons.

-- Monitors will be the front line position for addressing customer concerns in regard to the message boards (on mechanics and technicalities), and as such, must be able to maintain a professional attitude.

-- Monitors should be able to offer suggestions to their coworkers for better organization of the message boards to help maintain an easy-to-read system.

well I would be a board monitor since everyone knows im more than qualified.

yet I must bow out for two reason.

I have a spell checker alergy that can be fatal for one.

And I would have issues with working for GM Helena being a Uber Hottie and way to nice in a text based game but never getting to see her.

Maybe next year if I get over my alergy and some Crone is in charge. But don't get your hopes up I may find another excuse to not be a monitor by then.

Board Monitors, just like Game Hosts and Game Masters, get a special Board Monitor account (BM-POMAE, for example, in red). I believe that what Helena was saying was that someone working as a BM must have 10 hours logged, per week, reading/working the boards as a BM.

But that it wouldn't, other than the potentially increased time working on the boards, interfere with your normal IG play time with your regular characters.

Why do you think he knows that she is, in his words, an Uber Hottie. His regret would be working with her, but not being able to interact (if that's the right word) with her in an in-person more often (like every day). Heh.

Then again, I have seen her as well, and I believe she recently posted that she lives in (more-or-less) the same general area as I do, so... Heh.
