Maybe I'm just wierd but I wish the setting would be labeled CvC (Character vs Character), as opposed to PvP (Player vs Player). In most games, the difference is so minor as to be immaterial. I'd hope in this game that it would be different and people would understand the difference.

Probably not.

That's a fair point.

GMs tried to make a point to distinguish the two years back. I think the distinction gets a bit unwieldy.

Actually, I think the distinction is fairly simple, at least in theory:

CvC: This is an in character conflict. Your character wishes to see another character maimed or dead.
PvP: This is an out of character conflict. You the player are angry at the player behind another character.

Where it becomes problematic is the fact that many people do not or cannot stop their CvC fights from becoming PvP fights.

See: RP setting.

I'd wager these don't start "CvC" to begin with.

Considering PvP isn't really allowed, just imagine all usage of PvP as CvC.

They're really synonyms around here, so it doesn't matter that much.

How could this possibly make the least bit of difference to you?
