I know its currently on in test, and it's been said (a while ago) that there wouldn't be one for thieves in prime when 3.1 launches.
I'm just wondering if this is still the case.
I've gotta admit I've been thinking about it a lot more for ambush and prowess/guile SvS contests.
Also curious to hear from other thieves on the boards if (and why) they want one, or don't want one.
Thief stat Respec for 3.1 launch? on 12/20/2013 03:21 PM CST

We definitely need a respect because we have lost the ability to boost a bunch of stats and the way most of our stuff works has also changed. Even with the tdps we will gain from the magic grandfathering, which still doesn't make up for what some of us lost int he first place.
If advice was any good, they wouldn't give it out for free.

I agree that the changes are significant enough to warrant a stat respec option. With the addition of stat influenced debilitation abilities and the removal of many stat boosting khri some Thieves may need to do some reshuffling.
Personally I probably wouldn't use it but I keep a fairly balance stat scheme. I'll probably just use my new magic TDPs (although I thought there would be a lot more of them considering how far negative I went with 3.0) to add a few points to strength and charisma which seem more useful now.
