Just to confirm, smite works off our normal weapon skill. We have no special guild only shield attacks. I believe slamming with your shield(every guild) is a combination of brawling and shield skill, but I could be wrong.

>>I was just pointing out that Backstab was another skill which sort of breaks the rule as far as damage dealing abilities go outside of the Weapons/Magic skillset. (and Armor skillset too as it pertains to SHIELDBASH/SMITE apparently)
I think the general 'accepted' rule is that damage dealing needs to be kept in skills that need to be trained in combat (of course Teaching is the exception to everything).
Individuals, families, countries, continents are destroyed at the heavy hand of Vinjince.

You're psychic. That's actually more or less the spell I'm working on for Paladins right now (And it's even currently called "Smite" and is slotted between Footman's Strike and Smite Horde).
Quick, go make your fortune.

Fairly sure I hadn't (Beyond that I owed Paladins a new TM spell). I didn't even decide on the name until yesterday.

Can we not call it Smite?
We have a combat verb called Smite, and there is Smite Horde. Too much 'smite'.

Well, I going to go with Smite as a nod towards the old "Smite Foe" - but I have another name in mind I might use instead. Either way, it's not really a discussion for the Bard forums.
