So is this supposed to be as crazy as it is? Was messin with my 39th WM and I was fighting boggles. Now I get a prep of 1 mana failing but a min prep CL (which is 30 mana and the highest I can cast) fails every time. That seems pretty crazy to me.

Yes I do understand this but at the same time if a minimum prep cast is at a level that requires magic skill far beyond what a creature could teach Im not sure why the MR would be able to counter that. That seems like saying you should never be able to hit a goblin with 300 ranks in a weapon unless you were stanced in offense to 101%.

Again Im aware of this. MR is one of the many parts that has been messed with (ie removed in most cases) in this whole huge conversion. Im bringing it up since its still plausible that it could be looked at before released. Im fine with undead MR. My issue stems from trivial creatures blocking spells from far stronger casters than themselves just because of a 1 mana point difference seperating min prep vs non min prep. If it was against an at level undead Im totally game but its against something far far beneath the skill levels in magic being contested. Its not a game breaker nor am I furious and screaming, but its worth bringing it up when theres potential to having it looked at.
