What's the word on how the prediction system plays with the ideas of sphere of influence and global caps? Is a maxed out weapon prediction less than a maxed out stealth prediction because of MM sphere of influence, or is the prediction system separate from that design philosophy?

And where do predictions stand when compared to traditional buffs, global-cap-wise?

Neither of these questions are pressing concerns of mine, I just thought it'd be fun to know.

The prediction system is blind to SoI. Lionize/Satirize for Bards will be similar with I get to it.

Under ideal conditions predictions can outperform traditional buffs (Though not by nearly the same degree they use to!) since traditional buffs don't randomly end up negative or hit the wrong skill etc.

Note that "ideal conditions" are almost never what you're working under. I'm talking near-perfectly attuned tool, full observation pool, LOTS of astro skill, sufficient target skill to avoid soft caps, plus some luck. Note that even under ideal circumstances the least you can reduce the curse chance to is 10%.

Under more reasonable usual conditions, they're going to be generally be weaker or in the same ballpark as spells.

Same ballpark as spells and blind to SoI is a-ok with me! Thanks for the response.

Is it possible to get tactics added to our sphere of influence? Battlefield Scholar, Prophetic Warrior, Precognitive Soldier. These all say tactics experts in my opinion.

Just because we have titles that dictate that we can be warriors doesnt mean it in our general nature to be. Some folks choose the path of fighting while some in the guild choose to focus on magic and scholarly endeavors. Besides we really have nothing that boosts tactics or anything of that nature. You could argue Seers with its evasion bonus but I see that as more a means to stay out of combat rather than in it.

good points. To me, this illustrates the extremely complicated nature of our particular guild. It's more difficult to pin down our general nature since we're a guild of hodgepodge philosophies. The solution to a guild of hodgepodge philosophies, to me, seems to be having a hodgepodge of spheres of influence. I can see tactics as being very representative of Tiv and his sect.

But I think your right in that I have no clue what we have that would be boosted- even though I think it is fitting.
