As it stands now, we use a combo of Short/Comp/Long to determine how well we pound out the various skinned arrowheads. Basically 'any combo of bow skill that adds up to 600 will cap'. After the 3.0 flip is switched, will those without one of those individual bows at 600 be out of luck when it comes to capping? Or possibly could 'we' consider adding Missile Mastery into that particular skill check until the appropriate crafting skill has been released?

After Grim's oh so bloody helpful reply: in a 3.0 world, crafting will be controlled by the actual crafting skill. Weapon/armor/stupid ranks will no longer alter the item crafted in any form. Guild does not contribute (yes, it does, but not in a way remotely like 2.0 did so shut up). It's entirely lore, crafting skill.
I don't know what it's going to do between 3.0 live and bow-making-skill live though if that's what you were asking. Maybe mech, maybe disabled, maybe you have to kill a ranger because oh gods I can hear them coming now and we get to hear about how much they're losing yet again because bows and arrows were a 'ranger perk'.
Adding nothing to the conversation since 1834.

Yep, that's exactly what I'm asking. If I recall correctly, bone carving is largely done and just waiting for QC stuff and is slated to be the next Crafting 3.0 released.
Considering everything that's on Dr. K's plate, that could be a few weeks to months after 3.0 goes live. So ASSUMING that making arrowheads out of basilisk fangs will fall under bone carving (and I'm assuming basilisk fangs will become less but still attractive), that's potentially a several month period where we'll be using DR 2.0 mechanics to make arrowheads. Seeing as several of the skills involved in DR 2.0 are being dissolved...
I've got plenty of bows and arrows in my vault; I don't really care. Just curious.
